... about the 12 cylon models during the mini-series? I must have missed something,

In the miniseries, Number Six said to Baltar: "There are twelve models. I'm number six."

I think she says that to him in the pilot episode.

Which is also called 'the miniseries.'

Yeah it's wack the way they did it. The pilot is actually '33' (2004), first episode of Season 1, while the Miniseries is just that, the Miniseries (2003).
