For those who might not know, there's a book called "CyberStorm" that shares some similarities with this movie, but many feel it's done way better, imho. Netflix actually bought the rights to turn "CyberStorm" into a movie in 2020, with Sebastian Hoffmann directing.

I can't help but wonder why they decided to make this movie instead of the one with the better story.

Wasn't this based off a bestseller? Probably the name recognition then (for those who read it anyway).

sounds a bit like the show Yakamoz S-245
