God I hated Kyle...Just pure hated him.

And was I was only happy that his dad didn't have to put up with his little weird ass anymore. I've only watched it twice, (why is this a comedy? )but did I miss something, anything about Kyle that would make me have a little sympathy for him. Because that kid was an *beep*

And also this movie should be rated higher.

I think he acted as he did because he was severely angry with his father. The dad was weak and had no emotional boundaries. If that guy was my dad I'd be angry too. I'm not defending the kid's behavior, but it's not exactly a mystery as to why he became like that.

That's precisely the intention -- that he was a complete ass but that everybody loved him after he died.

Pride is not the opposite of shame, but its source. True humility is the antidote to shame.

It was clearly his dad's fault. His dad never wanted to upset anyone to such a degree that he would cover for EVERYONE being a douchebag to him. His son was a reflection of his father not standing up for anything in life, they were both unhappy in their own skin.

At the end the father at least got over some of his issues and decided to start living life and saying "*beep* it" whatever people thought of him, and just do what he felt he should do in life.

Kyle was awesome… for a loser. I'd never be friends with him, but his presence just made the movie so much funnier.

The movie got boring after he died, IMO.
