Looks pretty, but a real let-down if you know anything about the real characters and events. Horribly miscast leading man.

I don't believe the thread said it had to be 100% historically accurate. Just a good film set in medieval times.

If Excalibur qualifies, I'm sure Braveheart does too :)

one little point is that i wish directors would take the realistic distances a catapult could throw a stone into account when making movies ... they could not throw them very far, a hundred or so meters at most ... in so many movies they look like long range artillery ...
