If Michael Moore really cared about that poor family...

...that lost their home to the bank, why didn't he just shell out some of his millions of dollars to save their house?

Fat *beep* hypocrite.

The CEO of Goldman Sachs could've saved that families home too, and he's a lot richer than Michael Moore. But he didn't. Funny that.

I think because he documented the family quite significantly, he should have helped.

But, I think the way their mortgage was setup he couldn't save their whole farm.

I do have a feeling he helped them out in some way though.

Michael Moore is really not as wealthy as some of you think he is.

Either that, or some of you don't understand the time value of money and how far a dollar goes.

Much wealthier than you and me granted...

But he also donates a lot of the wealth that he has, a higher percentage of his money than most of you complaining here actually donate.

Say he gave that family 50 thousand dollars. And another 19 families, 50 thousand dollars.

That's 20 families and he's out 1 million dollars.

So with the money he made from Sicko... he can only help 340 families with 50,000.

What happens next? I'll tell you - $50,000 is not enough. You can't buy a decent home with that. You can't pay for 3 kids to go to college on that. You can't quit your job and live off of it. You can go through $50,000 pretty quickly after paying off bills, tuition loans, car payments, house payments, insurance, health care, and not to mention the taxes you pay as a result of it.

Now that you are aware of the family's plight, how much did you donate to help them?

Typical conservative perspective, let someone else take care of it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he paid that family in some way for being in his doc. He just didn't show that on film.
