He is most loser character every in the history of cinema
Because of the way he behaved and how he ended up.. It would be interesting to see any other candidates ???

Scott from Zero Charisma is pretty lowly on the totem pole for loser characters:

And for a low female character, Mavis Gary from Young Adult, which Patton also happens to star in, is pretty low too: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1625346/

Not sure if he's the most but he's up there. I think this movie nailed the live with your parents, live for talk radio types.

I thought that, too, but I watched it again recently and I actually kind of admire him. Paul was honest about his passion and didn't care what anyone thought about him. When given the opportunity to make money at the expense of the one thing he loved, he didn't do it. In a strange way, that's honorable and why it's a story for a movie in the first place.
shareYes, it's ambiguous whether we are supposed to pity or admire him.
shareFor me, it's the main guy in Human Centipede 2, and not even because he killed people. There's been thousands of killers in movie history.
Also side note, he was a parking attendant too like Patton Oswald. hmm...weird coincidence?
Grade A casting Oswalt. And also script he'd totally say yes to. Perfect fit.
