What did we all think of this 2008 Russian movie?

At its homeland Russia, it mostly received mediocre to negative reviews, on sites like kinopoisk it has an overall average at best 5.0 rating whereas internationally, it gained more understanding and appreciation overseas. But what did you make of it?

Me, I thought it was overall average at best, 4 or 5 AT MOST I give it, not among the best or worst among either Russian or teenage cinema, worth a look once but ultimately unbearable. And Valeriya Gai (haha no offense of course, but her middle name in Russian is actually pronounced like "guy" and is written "Гай") Germanika hasn't really gotten that great or talented after this even though I admit I haven't seen ALL of her work yet.

P.S. ONE interesting point. Some Russian users have complained that they got the rather average band Zveri to do a soundtrack for the film and not something more superior like "Kaiser Chiefs" but with all due respect folks, KAISER CHIEFS is NOT in any way "much better" as a band and is overall at best a mediocre and average 00s British indie-rock group. If folks were complaining that they haven't got someone superior (and non-Russian) like Kraftwerk, Can, Kyuss, Noir Desir, Cabaret Voltaire, David Bowie, New Order, Pixies, Slowdive, The Church, The Cure etc etc for the soundtrack, THEN I'll understand, but KAISER CHIEFS? Phfffff, what is even remotely so DECENT about THEM to get our Russkies so puffing the huff, huh????!!!! Lol :) :) :)

Sorry, meant to say, ultimately UNMEMORABLE rather than "unbearable" although in some moments, that adjective, positively or otherwise, can also be applied.
