Actor cast as young Stephan looked like older David and the actor who played young David looked like older Stephan! This had my head spinning towards the very end of the fim when I was trying to keep straight who did what!!
Is it just me? Anyone?
Well, i could keep focus on everybody but "older David", Ciaran Hinds, whose eyes are just not Sam Worthington eyes. I gritted my teeth everytime i had to believe Older David was the older version of Young David.
shareIt was confusing because at the end, when she said the guy at the hospital wasn't the doctor guy, i thought he was, even though the actor was different.

shareWell they made a point of showing how they never got a chance to sleep together so we would know who the father is and why she was "stuck" with Stephan from now on.

I totally agree with you. In fact, I thought Ciaran was Stephan the entire time and was trying to figure out how she ended up married to Tom Wilkinson.
It wasnt until I watched the extra's that I figured it out. I did like the film though.

I didn't. I felt Marton Chokas and Tom Wilkinson perfectly matched as young and older Stephan, height wise for starters. I couldn't see Ciaran Hinds as young David though as for one Sam Worthington has to me a bit of a stockier build and Ciaran Hinds very much Irish that is the dark haired Irish not the paler type. Jessica and Helen only really matched with the hair do. Not a bad film though Love the end credits music. Nothing confusing about any part really.

This bothered me throughout the movie too. Ciaran Hinds has big eyes and black hair like Marton Csokas, and Sam has squinty eyes and sandy brown hair like Tom Wilkinson. I can't believe with how many people worked on this film that no one saw it too.

My friends and I left the theater asking each other who was supposed to be playing who. Besides the egregious casting error, we absolutely adored the movie. I'd like to see it again knowing which is which!
Oh my god, I thought I was the only one.
