I can't help but think this movie would have done better with a more marketable leading man. Adam Driver is a serviceable actor, but he's not the guy to carry a major blockbuster movie all by himself, especially when it's just him and some unrecognizable child actor the whole film. I actually think Will Smith would've made this movie a success. What do you think?
sharePaterson (2016) was my favorite movie of that year, in no small part due to Mr. Driver's performance.
I second the sentiments above mine. While he might not have been my first casting choice for 65, the movie was uncarryable.
I WATCHED THAT...DRIVER WAS EXCELLENT...BUT THAT MOVIE WAS REALLY NOT FOR ME.
shareI remember being in a relaxed meditative mood that afternoon, and the movie just carried me downstream like in an innertube down a lazy river on a summer day. I don't even like poetry that much, but what was used fit perfectly.
