Adam Driver CANNOT carry a movie

I can't help but think this movie would have done better with a more marketable leading man. Adam Driver is a serviceable actor, but he's not the guy to carry a major blockbuster movie all by himself, especially when it's just him and some unrecognizable child actor the whole film. I actually think Will Smith would've made this movie a success. What do you think?

reply

Driver wasnt the issue. it was the amateur cinematography and editing.

reply

YUP...THE REFIRED PLOT DIDN'T HELP EITHER.

Paterson (2016) was my favorite movie of that year, in no small part due to Mr. Driver's performance.

I second the sentiments above mine. While he might not have been my first casting choice for 65, the movie was uncarryable.

I WATCHED THAT...DRIVER WAS EXCELLENT...BUT THAT MOVIE WAS REALLY NOT FOR ME.

I remember being in a relaxed meditative mood that afternoon, and the movie just carried me downstream like in an innertube down a lazy river on a summer day. I don't even like poetry that much, but what was used fit perfectly.

Vive là différence!

YEAH...I COULD SEE THE HOW GOOD IT COULD BE...BUT I AM JUST TOO DAMN HYPER FOR POETRY.
