To the People Complaining About the 'in 1945 China Won the War' Line.
Some perspective. Sure, it is a bit dishonest for the movie to say "China won the war" instead of "China and her allies won the war," but it only reeks of propaganda to Americans who are used to hearing that they won the war on their own, which is just as ridiculous.
Russia basically won the European front on their own. They are the ones who broke Hitler's back with massive casualties (losing three men for every German). The US just came in at the end and mopped up what was left. We got involved in the war in 1941, but we didn't really start fighting in Europe until 1944 (D-Day). The war was basically over by 1943-44.
Same with the Pacific. Russia beat the Japanese in China, and the US fought the naval battles and dropped the bombs.
So, yes the line is dishonest, but so is the view Americans have that we won the war on our own.
And another thing, I hate it when people don't separate their signatures from their posts.
