nicholas case is back

After several crappy movies cage had played in the past several years for settling his financial dues, I think that in this movie he finally got back to what he was like before, a talented actor. I wasn't too crazy about the acting of January Jones, she was a little stiff and dry. Pearce, as always, rules any movie he stars in.

lmao :D This movie was *beep* horrible!

I haven´t seen this one already but i saw trespass and i liked t,not great but pretty decent,Nicolas Cage is a good actor,in whicj movies do you think he was bad?

reply

you've got to be freaking kidding?! lol his acting was the pits. that scene in the car (after he sends his would be killer packing) where he is stressing out is hilarious. SO many cliche stress gestures one after another, i was loling so hard!

seriously, i love nic cage, he does good stuff and bad but he doesnt really care, which is why he's so great :D

You watch a nic cage film and go into it not knowing if its gonna be crap or good, and u can't really trust imdb ratings these days.

But this was bad.

Kick ass on the other hand....

You nailed it.

but he is still nick cage and he still sucks... badly.

and i liked this film however his acting again was complete sh*t as stated by several people.

he is not, and will never be a good actor. he is however likable. and because he is likable he will continue to get roles and people will still like him, despite his lack of acting skills.

Many forget that actors merely recount lines from a script. That is to say, don't blame the messenger/actor for what otherwise amounts to a dire movie (and this one was also based on a reasonably good screenplay). That is also to say, Cage is not to blame for the poor scriptwriting and production of his most recent movies.

In conclusion: Cage doth remain as an extremely good actor, who should pick his roles with greater care in future thus to assuage his fickle public followers.

Merely recount lines from a script?

Are you joking?? :D

Could not agree more, although this one is still far from his previous performances(and when I say previous, I mean preeeeevious) it is a step in a right direction...

Agree completely with the last two posts.
Cage can be a great actor when the script / director allows for it. And even when he´s bad, he´s not that bad.
He was great in The Bad Lieutenant, but it seems not many people have seen that. People these days just don´t know quality when they see it.

In this case they didn't even see it XD

This movie in general was pretty disappointing. I thought with a cast like Cage and Peirce, it would be much more entertaining and high budget but that it was not. I liked Cages National Treasure movies and Drive Angry wasn't too bad either. I'd like to see more big budget actions from Cage like Con Air. His other recent one where he played the New Orleans drunk (Is New Orleans his new thing now?) cop was a real snoozer.

reply

Absolutely. I just saw this last night and it has to now be one of my favorite Cage movies (my favorite being Face/Off). He's back, looking good and this movie was great! I have to say Cage has to be one of my favorite actors of all times, and I'm so glad he was in this film. His acting is back on the mark. Keep it up, Nic.

have not seen a couple of his last films....but this one is great real great intence film...on the edge of my seat the whole time.....a+ film.

reply

haha Tara-Salem...u gotta be kidding or trolling right?? or u got some rly low standards when it comes to acting or actors...cause Nic Cage rly sucks in this movie too. I would understand if u said he was back after watching his movie Joe, where he rly did a good job in front of the camera once again...but this one?? come on, this movie is pure *beep* when it comes to hes acting. Only good actor in this movie is Guy Pearce that rly delivered as a bad guy...cant understand why he want to participate in this kinda turd fest though.
