Use of Pittsburgh accent

I thought it was kind of cool how Russell had a slight accent. The scene where he asks the burn-outs at the convenience store if "yinz got any candy?" was interesting. It really stuck out to me because this accent generally isn't featured in films set in Pittsburgh and it's also not as familiar to people in other parts of the country as are New York accents, Boston accents, Southern accents.

The whole movie everyone sounds southern
That was so disappointing and the one scene where he says yinz was the only time he sounded remotely Pittsburgh
And he called it Bradd OCK and ppl her call it braddick

"Yinz" was the only nod I heard to a Pgh. accent. I'm from Johnstown and our accent is very similar. I've worked in that area of Pa. also... 1998 - 2009.

If you want to hear a great Pgh accent - in a fine actor and scary villain, watch "52 Pick-Up" with Roy Scheider and Ann-Margret. John Glover plays the villain I speak of. It's definitely a Pgh. accent. I believe he's from NYC and sounds like it normally, so he put it on for the role.

I have to mention Clarence Williams III, who is another of the trio of villains and is even scarier than Glover.
