I really enjoyed this film, if only America had more Walt Kowalskis

Here was a hard working loving family man who unfortunately saw his community rot into a gang infested slum. He was not shackled by PC Hollywood nonesense he called things like he saw them and never backed down. This was a great American and unfortunately hes a dying breed.
I'm not surprised Hollywood doesnt make more movies like this.

Are people like the gangs. Who think they can go around and threaten and do what they want.

You want more Walts? You'll have an even more *beep* up gun-nut nation, with even more shootings than you have now.

How about you deal with reality like every other *beep* nation that learned to solve these *beep* problems in a way that works far better than "WE NEED MORE GUN NUTS!!!11ELEVEN".

Hmm?

You have to be the biggest IDIOT that has ever walkd the face of the planet! I have read your previous threads on other movies and you constantly put down these films for the violence and content....but yet you are singing the praises of this film which is also very violent! Your "Church Group" that you claim to belong to needs to find some other job to do besides making asses out of yourselves on these boards....You are a typical church going hypocrite that constantly feels the need to hear yourself talk....Go back and read your Bible!

I've known Walt's before. Racism is not the words that you use. It's a view that you hold of others either in ignorance or on purpose.

Walt was ignorant. And then he shows he has a capacity to learn. And that's the point.

It's when you've learned and PREFER to remain racist that ugliness is revealed. Walt is not ugly. He's an honest man who wasn't too hard to reach out and let himself be touched.

I promise you. All you kids in here. The older you get the sooner you find that really, you should have said hello to all those people a long time ago.

I could have done with a Walt in my life. I really could have.

Isreal578,

You're either a troll or the biggest hypocrite (or both). In all of your other posts you blab about every movie being "without christ" or inappropriate for children (um yeah, not every movie is appropriate for children, that's why they have a rating system, and why they make movies specifically for kids). But yet you seem to adore this man who is a blatant racist (calling his neighbors zipperheads and other racial slurs) is mean to everyone trying to be nice to him, won't set foot in church and is not very nice to the priest whom his late wife adored.

Now let me just say, I loved this movie and I thought Clint Eastwood's character was hilarious, but it's a little odd that you would like him so much, given your ramblings about other movies.
