If law didn't exist...

... but there was still some OTHER alternative way of punishing criminals, and there was ALSO some kind of flaw or flaws with the justice system or maybe we just had a system of anarchy where everyone took care of themselves...

How would a character like Clyde punish law officials THEN like he does in this movie with existent legal system?

And let's ALSO imagine a scenario where the punishment was JUSTIFIABLE, yes, like, maybe it wasn't a MAN that committed a wrong doing against him and it wasn't murder or other similar well recognized misdeeds, maybe the criminal or perpetrator of some sort of wrong doing was a woman and, a bit like Leon character from Luc Besson's "Leon: The Professional" (1994) movie, he had something AGAINST said female character going to JAIL or maybe not so much against THAT fact, but, say, he thought the sentence for her was too long, he didn't like the conditions of the prison she was in and methods of mistreatment against her, the woman happened to be pretty, he didn't think he suffered THAT much under whatever wrong she did, maybe he is very pro-feminist and believes women are delicate and sacred and whatnot, well, what would he do THEN and would what he was doing be considered, however against the law, JUSTIFIABLE?

Basically in a nutshell, can we ever have a perfect legal system that satisfies everyone like that, and in which, there wouldn't be any NEED for Clyde's character to do what he did?
