who wanted the father son scene to last longer?

I forget the characters name but you know who i mean!

Considering he had fallen otu with his dad a lot and literally didnt have anything to do with him (except abuse him) i just wish the scene at the end **spoilers** when he realised his dad had actually done his best for him , and how badly he had treated him - i wish that scene lasted longer. All they did was show him sharing a drink with his dad. which showed the son showing remorse.. but he still seemed very 'cold' i think it would have been brilliant if they had him slowly but surely apologising to his dad for the way hes been to him and maybe a father son hug (haha, i probably sound a neerd but i think the scene would have been perfect)

I thought it was done really well.Especially the bit **spoiler** in the station where the policeman tells him the truth of the matter-the young guys expression was really good,he really looked astounded.

Agree. It was understated deliberately, no come-to-Jesus moment. And a more-to-come later is implied...after all, you don't repair a 20yo sick, dysfunctional relationship in 60 seconds.

When you think of garbage, think of Hakim!

I know what you mean, but it's a nice scene that with no dialogue speaks volumes and that the father son relationship is just beginning if you like.

I wish the whole film could have been longer. I liked it a lot.

That character wasn't able to emote like that. Bringing his father a beer and touching his arm was already a major gesture on his part. Most likely it would have been understood and never spoken about. That is or was the English way.
