There's plenty of good Clooney films. Everyone's going to have a different list, though.

For me his best performances are the ones that aren't just Clooney "vehicles", like the Ocean's movies or Michael Clayton, or The Peacemaker, where the script is basically written for him. I'd throw Gravity in there, too. The second Ocean's movie isn't bad, but I'd rather see Return of the Killer Tomatoes again than these.

I prefer the ones where he works to fit the script; he has a lot more range than the "big swinging dick" pics he tends to make, and they tend to be tighter scripts, too.

Here's some in no particular order:

Fantastic Mr. Fox
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Good Night, and Good Luck
Syriana
Up in the Air
Solaris
Money Monster
Three Kings
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Hail, Caesar! (did not care for the film, but Clooney is great in it as a character actor for once)

Ides of March is a great film, but Clooney's part could have probably gone to anyone. It's Gosling's movie.

Haven't seen The Good German, The Descendents, or The American yet, so can't comment on those. I think I've seen most all his others.

We must never speak of Batman.
