I mean he was very cunning and cool like Dexter. And that blood splattering with the hammer was genius. I wanted him to bash that fatass in the end. Anyway he's done for in prison.

For me this character is pathetic and weak. What's appealing about an impotent serial killer with no moral compass who harms even children?
All you need to make a movie is a girl and a gun.

There wasn't any valid reason to cheer for the killer, besides just trying to be "cool" for not rooting for the protagonists. The dude was an impotent weak douchebag who got off on killing innocent (for the most part) people, even harming little defenseless children. He was as scummy as they come.
