THANK YOU
The whole entire murder of Kim Min-Jin was just to play on the audience emotion, so when Jung-ho catched him (which he did), he would be more motivated to do what must be done, which he attempted.
TBH, I found the whole notion of Kim death ludicrous and poorly done, but at the time of watching the film ,it hit me hard. Thoughts that were going through my head at that time was "Life is cruel", "There certain people that should just be killed, *beep* human rights", "This is her fate, she was meant to die, (this thought was to assuage my emotions)"
After watching and reflecting on the scene, ANYONE with 2 brain cells can see that this was a DUES MACHINA ploy from the director, for the reason stated above:
Reasons
1)The taxi swishing pass Jung-ho, ok-ok fair enough the man didn't want to get paid or even had a passenger but hell, are you seriously going to run all the way there. This did two things first it prevented him from answering his phone and of course delay him from getting there on time.
2)Young Min, conveniently runs out of cigarette, right in this particular shop vicinity.
3) SHOPKEEPER, I mean seriously WTF, she had a huge sign over her head saying KILL ME, I'm currently LOL-ING mad hard at this whole precept. Firstly she tells him about a lunatic in the area (fair enough, I understand she is shocked by a girl covered in blood entering her shop in broad daylight), so I;m going to let that go and assume she doesn't listen to the news.
4)SHOPKEEPER, goes as far as point out that probably the lunatic done that to his face (we know it was Jung-ho) to which he smiles and starts to leave, BUT WAIT no he not allowed to leave since she is scared that the lunatic might attack her. So wait you have a girl covered in blood using your pone in the back of your shop, he man covered in scrupulous cuts and edgy manner but you force him to stay. HAHAHAHAHAHA lololol even harder
5)SHOPKEEPER, gives him a HAMMER, The subs said something along the lines of "I only have a hammer, no chisel (LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL) so please stand there and guard me, I feel much safer with you standing there, guarding me"
6)KIM MIN-JIN calls Jung-ho, but no police. ROFL....yep DEUS MACHINA and a very cheap ploy to play on viewers emotions. It worked initial, and I'm not ashame to admit it got me good. I was cheering for Kim all the way, but it wasn't to be...evening so ATLEAST GIVE HER A GOOD SEND OFF, no director decided to show bits of her brains flying whilst she reflects on her 7 years old daughter!!!
IT WAS CHILDISH AND DESTROYED WHAT WAS A WONDERFUL PLOT, IMO this is akin to KIM MIN-JIN escaping and being hit my a bus, just as those 2 cops in the car saw her.
AND I TOTALLY AGREED WITH THE TWO COMMENTS...GOD MUST HATE THIS BITCH...AND C.S WOOD
still gived it 10/10
