How did they survive after landing in Africa?

Did they all just live on those ships for the rest of time or did the rich people just make the poor laborer saps build their new homes? Did they eat the animals in the hold? Damn, it's a good thing they saved elephants and giraffes. There wouldn't be any of those things in AFRICA.

Not to mention all the warring tribes in Africa. Basically they just delayed their demise in the film.

Yeah about that, are we to assume that Africa never got submerged at all? So what was the point of all the arcs if they could just get a fight to Cape town or Johannesburg? My guess is that everything got wiped and Africa is the first continent to reemerge from the water. Otherwise the whole plot is very stupid.

They had no way of knowing if any continent or landmass would be spared inundation, as the whole crust of the Earth was being re-shaped. They said Africa was the new roof of the world, and speculated it had possibly been spared total inundation. The final shot of the planet showed an altered continent of Africa, with a large body of water in the middle, surrounded by greenery.

It would be cool if they made a sequel showing life after the apocalypse.

I would assume everyone would be equal. I mean "time/year" changed. the whole world is different! Im sure they would rename parts of the world. You are starting from "scratch" so these people are going to be the new founding fathers. Therefore, everyone who was on those ships, rich/poor, will start fresh, and make a "name" for themselves that would go into new history books.

reply

Naah, they would all die because of the climate change

reply

The History Channel already has made a documentary "semi-sequel".

Not to mention adapting to life at such high altitudes if the whole thing rose several thousand feet. 26,000 feet is the start of the death zone.

Warring tribes in Africa? Cape Town is in South Africa, not sub-Saharan Africa. South Africa remains a developed and civilised country, despite the best efforts of the ANC. However the map actually shows eastern South Africa, and they referred to the Drakensburg mountains, so Cape Town is too far west...

This movie has so many scientific, geographical, logical and plot errors that I do not know where to begin.

... Ebola for Everyone !!!

reply

Ah yes! The mistake that made me laugh my butt off! The Cape of Good Hope near the Drakensberg mountains? REALLY? ROFLMAO!

reply

I think they all snuffed it after getting to Africa. After all hasn't there been poverty in Africa for a gazillion years cos nothing ever grows etc. So all these people who survived this apocalypse will just starve to death & no amount of Live aid concerts is gonna help cos all the guitarists strings will be wet.

reply

Presumably, they had seeds and plants as well as animals. As far as saving African animals, the whole Earth's crust had been totally re-shaped, and they had no way of knowing in advance if any continent or landmass would be spared inundation.
