Why is everyone complaining?

It may not have been a true to the heart star wars film but when you saw a glimpse of the trailer what did you expect?

Maybe that the other films have overshadowed what has been presented to you. Overall I thought it to be a good film. The beginning sequences of battle scenes were spectacular. I do say that the lightsaber fights were not very impressive.

I do admit later in the story things get slowed down a bit. Think about it hasn't every Star Wars film been this way? For example episode 4 ships blasting at each other then later a whole slow tatooine scene. Ep3 ships again blwoing at each other then it got slowed down till the end.

People keep complaining about the droids. The droids intelligence were meant to be below average. Because if they were smarter they'd ask questions of the orders like a human does. They "dumb" on purpose so every order they receive it wouldn't be questioned.

Just because I knew it was going to be terrible doesn't mean I'm not gonna complain about it.
And the story was terrible and tedious either way.

My main problem with it was that it felt much less like a movie and more like several gratuitously bookeneded episodes. Plus trying to keep continuity with the prequels and the original trilogy somewhat narrowed 'the avenue of exploration' in restricting the characters look and sound, which frequently sounded forced and 'plastic'. Having said that I quite like the series, even if it is still quite rigid in most aspects.

from what i gather, everyone is complaining because it sucked and other movies of the same brand have not sucked.

if they all sucked they wouldnt complain about this one sucking

your opinion? is not fact.
hated the movie? explain or gtfo.
whining about it? grow tf up.

im nt complaining, fact is, i actually liked it.
the storyline is simple and straight-forward, the drawing style is intentional and the targeted audience is younger generation, and i believed the film has achieved it.
i enjoyed the movie...try to watch it with an open heart and stop comparing with live action star wars movies, u'll love it too.

I'd like to watch a cartoon where the drawing style isn't intentional. What does that even mean?

It means that the characters were supposes to look wooden, as an homage to old puppet shows like the Thunderbirds.

Yes, the special effects could have been more impressive, they could have done more, but what for? I don't watch Star Wars (the movie) for it's special effects, but for the whole story that lies behind it. Besides, The animations, the drawing style was as it was because they wanted to be that way, not because they couldn't do better.

I enjoyed the movie and I enjoy the TV show. I take it as it is and I like it.

Yeah I'm damnright sick of saying they couldn't be bothered with makin the animation better - it's the style Lucas wanted and personally I think it's pretty good for the Clone Wars film and series.

I mean the day Lucasarts can't afford to make good special effects will be a sorry one.

To see what Bioware can produce in just a few months - for a trailer! - makes this piece of garbage even more outrageously outrageous. I'm so angry I can't channel it into words...

haha killergrapefruit is 100% right! I have faith that bioware will savage the dark essence of star wars and make it into a game for us!

i tried to like this just because it was star wars but i couldnt enjoy it. It was sickening that the same characters were used as the movies. They COULD have made a children's show with different characters because then they wouldn't have to BETRAY what they're really all about....In this anakin became like obi-wan in the films, come on!!

i hoped that george would make a third trilogy but if this is the best he can do now, i hope he calls it a day. He had a great run with star wars, 6 great movies. (YES i did say 6 great movies).

Question is, why even bother with this? Young children loved the star wars movies! As did everyone else. I guess with this it's just cheap.....and nasty. Shame.

I thought it was a great movie,however I just want to curb stomp that little Rota the Huttling thing!!. Man, I just hate that thing, along with all of the alien younglings in Season 2 where Cad Bane goes and kidnaps them. Sorry, I just intollerant of alien children.

I agree. My biggest problem with it is they cant seem to stick with one version of the universe.

Overall though I enjoyed the cartoon. But the little hutlett and Zero were way to annoying.

It was atrocious never shoulda hit theatres, if it was some Cartoonnetwork special itd be acceptable. But it was just terrible Asoka was easily a worse character than Jar Jar.
