The funniest movie of the year - maybe ever.

I saw an advanced screening and I never laughed so hard. Such crazy situations, yet it still has heart.
All the delightful and lovable characters. I'm a guy who doesn't ordinarily see this type of film, but really found myself enjoying the ride. This film will take you back to the golden age of romantic comedies.
Touchstone Pictures really knows how to make an entertaining movie, from now on, I'm going to fork over all my cash whenever they produce a film. Life doesn't get much better than this. It even helped me to forget about 911 for 2 hours.
Everyone should see this masterpiece a.s.a.p. Don't wait for DVD - you'll be sorry if you do!

I no longer fear death because I have seen When In Rome and that film alone is proof that God DOES exist.

MRlambfries, thank you for this thread

Just think if I hadn't watched this movie on cable and then came here to gripe about, I wouldn't have found these truly entertaining posts!

I just watched this movie on Encore, and although I was hesitant to watch the movie, after seeing some previews and reviews of the movie, I must say that
now that have watched the movie, I believe watching the movie was one of the best decisions of my life.

I can not believe how much I enjoyed this movie. The actors not only gave the preformances of their lives, but the screenplay was so well written, it was like being on a roller coaster with all the twists and turns. The surprise ending, which I will not give away, left me speechless. My roommate found actually laying on the floor, I was so stunned by the ending.

If given one wish in this world, I had always told myself, it would be that I could spend one more day with my wife before she got sick and her body and mind were destroyed by cancer. But now if given one wish, I would have to say it would be to go back in time and see this movie in the theater, on the big screen, along with other movie goers, so I could enjoy it as the director had intended.

Thanks to all who replied. Both those who got it, and those who didn't.

'Who made this car? Fisher Price....' That was the funniest and the entire mini-me car scene.

This thread is so ridiculously funny, but who here is surprised? It is, of course the love child straight from the womb of the GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD. I envy thou! When in Rome, you will forever be in my heart. I love you.

reply

Yes! Yes, exactly! The Greatest Story Ever Told. Thank you. There have been those that held that title in the past, but they were merely placeholders until the truth would be known in the year 2010.

To each their own, I picked up the DVD for $2.50 not expecting much at all but it sucked. I would probably give it a 4.5 out of 10 because I did laugh at some really stupid cliched jokes. I think calling it a masterpiece is ridiculous but if you loved it, that's cool.

This was a joke post started when there were a TON of plants on the board (right when the movie came out). They were so blatantly obvious studio plants that people started making posts like this one to point out the ridiculousness of it all.

Studio plant? No way! Just the very fact that I would come back to this board 4 years later to still proclaim from the highest mountain top THIS. MOVIE. ROCKS. should be proof that I'm not a studio plant. Is it possible to wear out a DVD? I think I might have done so. I'll have to get another copy.
