Very Bingeable

I have only watched four of six so far because I need to go to work but I like it. I was impressed with Dornan's work in "The Fall" which also starred Gillian Anderson of X-files fame. That is also one to check out if you haven't seen it.

He seems to pick up these complex roles and this one is no different. Just a word of caution. The first two episodes start out very slow (for the most part except for a few action scenes). I believe that is deliberate. This I think was done to give you a feel for the outback and the laid-back lifestyle. So stick with it and, like a newly opened bottle of wine, let it breathe and let the director take you into the atmosphere of the filming locations.

There is plenty of humor and you get some time to get a rural grasp of Australia before things start getting quirky and picking up speed. You need to pay attention a lot as the plot fills in. I found myself rewinding a few times as I was doing other work.

I don't know what the last two episodes will bring but I am expecting anything. There is some predictability and some suspension of disbelief but if you go with that I think you will enjoy the mystery. Warning: plenty of violence and vulgarity

Don't forget. A storm is coming. ;)

I'm three in and hooked like a damn fish. I find The Outback so fascinating anyway, and watching as he unwraps all this going on around him is interesting. I actually find Constable Helen Chambers to be a fun side treat as well (and I usually hate side character arcs).
