after 30 minutes it became booooooring!

30 mins was superfun, the house of prostitues was excellent, but after that, me and everyone else in the theatre couldnt give a rats ass about it anymore. the director should learn a thing or two about building UP to a climax, and not show all his cards in the first 30 mins and then repeating the tricks over and over again.

amsterdam fantastic film festival Rocks!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. I also found it completely lacking in coherence. Only the main storyline seemed to give it any value. The "bladeling" in the end was nicely done though.

Your either telepathic, full of *beep* ..... or the only person sitting in the cinema.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was like a giant live action anime.
Can't wait for pt II!!

I concur. I should not have been checking my watch during this movie but I did - frequently.

You see the following sequence twice (in the first 15 minutes) and it's no longer interesting:

Hack off body parts. Cue geysers of blood. Insert growth of bizarre sexual weapons. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Yawn.

After seeing the title screen, it was boring. So supernatural powers, vampires, chainsaw-wielding zombies, and lots of cheesy bloody "gore" effects? Couldn't possibly imagine a decent storyline to this piece of crap. I'd rather just play GTA or Manhunt or something if I want to see bad gorey action. At least it's interactive then.

I don't really agree. My friends and I happened to randomly come across this movie and didn't know what to expect. Funny enough, we were entertained all the way through!! This is a movie not made to be taken seroiusly, so why even expect a storyline when all of the highlights were in the action scenes?? Like that guy with the monster penis or the chick with the alligator vag... we were pissing ourselves knowing it wasn't just a typical predictable movie.

After the first 20 minutes it gets a bit boring for about 25 minutes as it builds up some plot then the last 60 minutes is great.

well maybe its because of that
i find extrange that in such a gorey movie with exxagerated scenes theres space for a plot and a nice ending .-.
I think that every movie has boring parts but this movie is full of action i cant find the boring part yet but you know this film is not made for every audience...

Absolutely agree! For many film criticism there is an age and experience gap. I am old and I have seen scores of gross films and this film offers not much new and seems to take away an interesting script and any sexual interest. I say seems, because I was fighting hard to stay awake. I guess if you are young and haven't seen much, then it should work better. But spraying lots of "blood" like a lawn sprinkler isn't very gross or shocking. Actually, less would be better.

reply

Is it supposed to be gross and shocking?

I really appreciated the movie. I kind laughed at the over-the-top gore. I wasn't watching it as a movie to be disgusted. I loved some ironies and innocences contrasting the gore, like the "angelical" image of the father in the beggining or when the plot is explained through that pictures/stop-motion thing used for children.

Sick comedy!

reply

most of the people here have missed the meaning of the movie.

reply

I've seen nearly 2000 filmes including scores of horrors, there's different versions of shocking. I'd called this film more *beep* up' or 'insane*

I only kept watching it because when i put on a film i dont like to turn it off no matter what. I want to see it through to the end. I do agree about building up a climax completely. Despite that though i found the film pretty disgusting and ridiculous. I wasted 2 hours on it.
If anything its taught me that when a film is this bad then turning off is for the best.
