Especially not if you're a crazy loner who wants a surrogate daughter in the mold of that girl who went missing and left Michelle her clothes.

In this film there's danger in isolation and danger outside. The choice is do you want to brave the danger that is known (crazy Howard) or brave the danger that is unknown. In the end Emmet and Michelle attempted to escape the crazy guy and find out what's outside.
