His character in this series cracks me up.

Him and Ben's father seem to be the only people that have any sense in this crazy show.

Agree. He is hilarious in this role. I haven't seen him in anything else, so I don't know if he's always this silly. But he seems to be funny even when it's unintentional.

Ben's father is pretty great, too.

Totally right. In fact his dialog seems to come from a different writer than the rest of the show. Tend to wonder if he didn't improvise some of it.
