So pretty much just wait around to die of hunger?

I don't get it. it seemed as soon as they seen the exit was 20-30 feet up they just quit trying to get out and accepted it.

yeah the one guy did poke a hole in a wall, but come on...

i'd try everything in my power to escape. even if it was useless. i can't believe they spent 35 days doing nothing.

move the damn barrels, stack them up, make a human pyramid. reach the damn exit and break through it. start digging a tunnel, take a brick to the electrical cord and try to throw it out and catch something with it.

no damn idea what they could have done, but I refuse to believe everyone would just sit around waiting it out

Of course you are correct. Any and all mind power that they had would have gone toward escape. Also, they would have been psychologically much worse off than they were ---among all the other flaws.
