Lazy! I can't believe my favorite show would do this!

Episode 1 of season 5 - it's exactly the same story, down to the victims name as Episode 1 Season 1 of the original Law and Order. Are they allowed to do this??? It's so disappointing. I guess they didn't expect their fans to have watched Other Law and Orders.

I didn't catch that particular one but noticed several other first-season episodes were reworked versions of stories that originated on Law & Order Classic. If I don't buy subsequent seasons of Law & Order UK, that will be the main reason.

EVERY single episode of UK has been based off of one of the original show's episodes. They even tell you which episode during the opening credits.

At least they do that, unlike the thieving scum of Hollywood, that has stolen Conan Doyle, Shakespeare, Dickens, etc

What do you mean by "Are they allowed to do this?" You're asking if they're allowed to do something you don't like? Yes, we're all allowed to do things you don't like. What are you so confused about?

Law & Order UK is actually Dick Wolf's brainchild. He had ALWAYS envisioned LOUK as re-imaginings of original American L&O eps. In fact that was always the point.

I don't care, I love this series! I've seen all of the L&O series, except Special Victims (no thanks!) and they all have to do with the perp and bringing the perp to justice. That's what crime shows are.
