On the Historicity of Jesus

Part 1 of this movie got me really intrigued by the relationship "Jesus Christ" shares with heathen gods and culture.

I recommend anyone digging into the subject read On the Historicity of Jesus by Richard Carrier.

It is thoroughly scholastic and Carrier is great to read as usual.

I hope ou ralise that Carrier is also an extraordinarly Biased Historian whose intention in gettign a degre was to legitimise his attacks on CHristianity, though.Carrier's work hasbeen heavily critisised and rejected by virtually the enture Historical Wold. His obvious hatred of Christianity and his desire to undermien it really cal into question his claims, and most of his claims, if nti all of them, can be reaidly debunked.

COme oin, even Atheist Historians accept that Jesus was real, and Carrier has gen so far as ot deny Christainity had any cltural impat on the American Reflution, wilst insisting that Hitler was a devoted Christain, and denouning "Table Talks as fraudulent, an opinion shared only by him.

Its pretty clear that Carrier's words arne't impressive.
