SPOILERS AHEAD:

1. The police will shoot an unarmed naked woman just because she screams.
2. It's not necessary to call the police when you discover several of your friends dead and mutilated, because hell the police won't believe a ghost killed them.
3. An asylum that has been abandoned for years will still have electricity and a mountain of files containing sensitive information on former patients just laying around.
4. A 5ft 100 lb. something female can make six grown adults flee in terror (and run in separate direction of course).

Actually, in answer to number one, she tossed a severed head onto their police car and smashed the window. I believe that is why they shot and killed her.
