One of the worst films in existence.
It's true.
shareWhat is "What would any movie LetThemEatCake01 tried to make be?"
shareI agree! I've forced myself to watch this movie three times and I still hate it! Good in theory bad in execution. Van Sydow and Kingsley are the only saving grace. Pity!
shareThe phrase "let them eat cake" is attributed (incorrectly) to Marie-Antoinette, who was Queen of France during the French Revolution. She was guillotined by the overzealous Revolutionary Tribunal for committing "High Treason". How fitting that the op troll chose that screenname.
sharewhat does that have to do with anything,
shareYou have a habit of making very stupid statements.
Stop shoving your poor taste in film in everyone's face, it's embarrassing.
I thought it was a terrible film. I wish IMDB ratings were more accurate.
shareI know. Unfortunately once mediocrity has reached glorified status like Martin Scorcese has, it's near to impossible to knock it down, no matter how much it deserves it. But time always settles the score, this movie will not me seen by anyone in 20 years.
shareYeah, this is horrendously bad. It was like Martin Scorsese was so desperately to jump on the mind-bender bandwagon after the success of The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, Mulholland Drive, etc., but jumped on it five years too late and then just pasted one together using the plot points from previous mind-benders.
The score was atrocious. I was just like, "Really? So much bombast so early in the movie? No subtlety whatsoever?"
