Simpsons Episode anyone?
Very Charlie Kaufman, yes, but more so the episode where Bart sells his soul to Milhouse and he can't locate it. That's all I could think about while I was watching the trailer.

I thought it was funny because I started scanning posts and people are talking about all these other movies it's "ripping off" and I haven't seen it and I haven't seen a lot of the other movies it's compared to but I have seen that episode of The Simpsons many times and that is what I thought of.

Anyway, the point is the whole 'giving up your soul' thing has been done for YEARS before the Simpsons got to it. Hell, before TZ did it there were many authors tackling the subject, for decades, most likely centuries...
And on a side note, this movie is not that good. It's a bunch of POSSIBLE interesting ideas, but almost none of them are explored. Instead of delving into the moral implications, we get a bunch of boring scenes involving a blond Russian woman we literally COULD NOT care less about. Quite a waste of an interesting premise in my opinion.
