Simpsons Episode anyone?
Very Charlie Kaufman, yes, but more so the episode where Bart sells his soul to Milhouse and he can't locate it. That's all I could think about while I was watching the trailer.

shareThis is EXACTLY the Simpsons episode. I guess The Simpsons have joined with Shakespeare--every plot line ever contrived has already been written by Shakespeare/The Simpsons.
shareI had thought the same thing before going into the movie and while watching it.
I changed my mind after meeting the director. The idea came to her in a dream and she developed the script from that.
the simpsons have done everything... so get over it..

Richard Gere magically stopped by in Springfield to talk about Buddism over seven and a half years ago. Plus, the episode was funny.

Even though I instantly thought of The Simpsons episode, I also instantly went to Netflix to add Cold Souls to my queue. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it being like that Simpsons episode, which is actually one of the best episodes of the whole series, in my opinion. I stopped watching new episodes years ago but I'll still watch the old ones. It's not outdated, some of those are CLASSIC. You're from Australia? Are you still mad at Bart for the crank phone call and bringing the frog into the country??? Haha, just kidding!
shareFor the record, that Simpsons episode was in that magical fruit bowl of cereal you analogized with.
~ I'm a farmer, who's ever heard of a fatalistic farmer? ~
There was this scene with Paul looking at himself closely in the mirror, frustrated with the absence of a soul, and I automatically thought "now he's gonna check if he can fog the mirror with his breath".
So, yeah, simpsons did it. :)
my thoughts exactly!
i was thinking about that episodeWhen there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
