Who else thinks the 80's ROCKED and the 90's SUCKED!?

As "The Ram" states in the bar: the 80's rocked and the 90's sucked. The music in the 80's were far better than the 90's.

The 80's were all about hair bands that rocked out songs about having a good time. Since the early 90's there hasn't been hardly any good music that has come out. Rock got too deep and dark, and rap is has no class. It's all about gangs, killing, being racist, and sexist. It's dumbing-down the young generation and society.

I'm waiting for music to come back that had the style, class, and charisma that music from the 70's and 80's had. Actually just pre-90's.

I was really glad to see this movie put great songs in it (other than the songs playing at the strip club) that totally rocked out.

You see an AC/DC poster in "The Ram's" trailer but we never hear any AC/DC music. I supposed that was just a symbol of "The Ram" being an 80's icon. Never the less, "Bang Your Head" "Balls to the Wall" "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)" "Round and Round" and "Sweet Child O Mine" added alot to the movie.

I grew up in the 80's and I can say that the music was great. That goes for both Rock and Hip Hop. I think the early 90's wasn't too bad either for both genres but they took a nose dive later on.

Both decade have their good points. I think early 80s music was pretty great, but then things took a bit of a nosedive in the middle of the decade, and it only made a partial recovery with some good bands in the last few years.

The 90s started off with a lot of exciting promise, and there was a lot of creativity in the early years. But things got stale when it seemed that the worst aspects of every genre (in my view, anyway) became prominant.

I grew up in the 80s and I think some of the best hard rock came out of that decade so yeah I agree with the Ram 100%. Awesome soundtrack in this movie!

Purrrr!

Any decade you grow up in you will like more. For me its the 90s. The consensus is music today sucks but kids who were born in the late 90s early 2000s will say they miss the 2000s when they become adults...

There's good and bad in every decade. Imo the late 60s/70s were the best overall. Grunge and alt-metal > hair metal, though.

Actually I think vice-versa. 80s had some good stuff but mostly they sucked - bad pop music, ridiculous hairstyles and oufit. On the other hand I like the way 80s "returned" in 00s. Still, 70s were the greatest of em all.

I grew up in the 90s born in 1989 and evn though nirvana, garbage, REM, smashing pumpkins came out when i was really little I still loved watching them on POP up video! anyone remember that? I<3 90s alterna music! Fiona apple, no doubt nine inch nails, thrid eye blind, weezer, greenday the cranberries, red hot chilli peppers, radiohead and hole lol etc and I'm a black girl [not saying black ppl dont like/listen to these artists] I think 90s artists had a lot more origanality in terms of what they had to say and how they said it. Basically 90s artist were relatable to teens of that era. I mean how can the average person relate to 80s hair band? I agree that 00s are awful but I still like Linkin Park, Coheed and Cambria, foo fighters. I listen to rap even though i shouldn't Nas, tupac, wale, j cole, some drake, kanye jay z, outkast are worth listening to. I love 80s for their pop music and one hit wonders LOL

These two decades although bordering with each other are complete opposites.
90s were dirty,gritty,dark,aggressive,realistic.....80s were grand, romantic, happy, warm and almost magical.

It all depends on when you were born. I was born in 1963 and still love the music and arts from the 60's and 70's. I was young and impressionable.Rock and Roll was growing and changing in those days. I started playing in bands around 1983 or so and still think the 80's had the worst music out of any decade. Not that it was all bad, but if I compare era's, it's kind of cold...drum machines, synth music, rap started, etc.

Compare rap music today with the sounds of Motown iback in the day, right?
