Opened To An Empty Theater?

I've only recently stumbled upon the story where the director, producer and lead actor showed up to the 'grand opening' of 'Sauna' in a small Finnish town and not one person showed up!
Initially I was felling really sorry for these guys and one of the best movies I've seen last year, but it really got me wondering what country are 'Sauna' fans from? Maybe this was just a random city in Finland and it meant nothing to the general reception of this movie in the country, but I would like to see where are people who really liked the movie from?

Too weird to live, to rare to die!

I seem to be one of the few Finnish people here.
I give this movie 3 out of 5 stars. I liked the philosophy of the film, but there were a lot of questions left open. I also had the same problem with it that I have with most Finnish films; the dialogue doesn't seem natural. But it was still better than I expected.

I'm not surprised that nobody in the small village saw it on its grand opening. From my experience people in small villages usually want to see romantic comedies and uplifting dramas. Experimental horror is not their cup of tea. BTW, do you know where the village was located? There are villages on the West coast that mainly speak Swedish, and Finnish movies usually don't come subtitled to cinemas here.
