It's a big shame that no one goes to see Rodrigo's movie. I saw it in the theater tonight with eleven other people. Eleven people witnessed what is probably the best work Annette Bening has ever done, some of the best of Naomi Watts' character, the most interesting thing Sam Jackson has done in a decade, and the many bits of brilliant smaller roles played by the basically perfectly-cast cast. What's wrong with people?

shareI know, right? It did next to no business everywhere. In my theatre/cinema there were like two other people in there. Such a shame as there were so many great things about this film. Tough film to market, though.
shareI found this movie remarkable, and I agree that it's a shame that more people didn't see it. I will say that it plays more like a TV movie for me than a theatrical release, and I don't intend that negatively in any way.

Not only did no one see it, I had not heard of it until very recently when I was filling in my gaps in Naomi Watts' filmography. This is a beautiful, provocative film with a superb cast at the top of their game.
