Looks like they borrowed props from "chamber of secrets" and "mummy 3".

I'd have to say Troll Hunter (2010)

I really enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies when they first came out but on repeat viewings they seem less interesting me.. certain scenes are still great.
I find as time goes on they don't hold up to the original Conan the Barbarian (1982) or Dragonslayer (1981) or Dark Crystal (1982) or Princess Bride (1987)

It's too bad Seventh Son wasn't good. The effects were great.
I saw a good review where the guy felt the same as me- all the things to make a fantastic movie were there- but something didn't quite jell and there was no real chemistry on screen between the characters. I did like the 4 armed sword guy. Thought his effects were really executed well.

Game of Thrones is excellent fantasy fare and one of my all-time favorite tv series. (although i am hesitant to say that after the Battlestar Galactica debacle- which was great until the last hour of the last episode. So until it ends the jury is still out on if Game of Thrones is one of the very best tv shows of all time [for me] heh)

There's a few I've enjoyed from the new millennium.

Stardust, Harry Potter series, Golden Compass, Lion Witch & Wardrobe, LOTR, Peter Pan, The 10th Kingdom(not a film though).

Well I enjoy most of em for entertainment purposes, but Stardust was the last good one...hated the Hobbit 1 & 3 (especially).
