Iron Maiden

We all know this movie is inspired by the album "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son." So my question, is Eddie going to be in the movie?

reply

Hell yes, haha. This is the best post I've read. It's great to see a Fellow iron maiden fan!

reply

You're noy alone, I agree best post I've read in long time. \,,/ \,,/

reply

IM HERE TOO MATE <3 WE ALL LOVE MAIDEN AND EDDIE!!

reply

Yep!! Great post!!
And the only reason why I got to read it, is because I'm a huge "Iron Maiden" fan!!
Too bad Hollywood and mainstream idiots insist on ignoring Iron Maiden and most metal bands!!
But we're millions, and we're here to stay!!
People will be listening to their music 100, 500, 2000 years from now!!
By then, they'll probably clone the whole band from their DNA (except Janic Gers, I hope), and Iron Maiden will be playing again all over the planet!! And maybe other planets!!
Double live album: "Maiden In Jupiter"... Who knows??
That's a pretty good story for a movie right there!!
Cloning rock stars from the 20th century for a festival in Jupiter.......
I just wish I could go!!

reply

I'd go see if that were the case . \,,/ \,,/

They better show up in the soundtrack, just imagine Jeff Bridges swinging a sword at some beast while "2 Minutes to Midnight" is in the background, that would be amazing

reply

The Duelist might be a more appropriate choice here. But any Maiden in a movie would suit me just fine.

reply

Speaking of 'The Duellists' there was a movie called 'Phenomena' with Jennifer Connelly in the 80's that featured another Maiden song of the same nature, Flash of the Blade. It's ALWAYS cool to hear a Maiden song in a movie (or anywhere for that matter!). Up the irons! \m/

reply

Avenged Sevenfold did a decent cover of "Flash of the Blade."

UP THE IRONS!!!

reply

I still have my Seventh Son tour jersey from 1988

"I fought your kind in the great war and we kicked the living *beep* out of you"

reply

DUDE?!
NO way?!
I thought I was THE ONLY TRUE OLD SCHOOL
IRON MAIDEN Metal fan on here?!!

But, the producers IMHO NEED to have
the Title Song, "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son"
as THE THEME song!!

One of my FAVORITE Maiden songs too!! :D

It just makes PERFECT SENSE!!!

That is all,
"Be Seeing You!!" (The Prisoner-1969)

UP THE IRONS!! \\m//

reply

The movie would have been epic with Iron Maiden doing the score. That song had such an impact on me as a young boy. Stared at the album cover for ages.

reply

I was wondering if anyone would point out the Iron Maiden connection. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Seventh of a Seventh Sooonnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Even the commercial for the movie has one character saying seventh son of a seventh son. PERFECT!!!

reply

And the album was inspired by Orson Scott Card's Seventh Son. \m/
