The "single shot" roving camera technique just doesn't do it for me

It takes me "out of the movie" all the time. Sure it may emphasize the frantic scurrying of an overwhelmed restaurant kitchen, but it also looks amateurish and makes me think about the man behind the camera and the "this is not cinema, it's theater" meme.
