How is this not a complete rip off of AMC's Mad Men? Sure it's not set in the 1960's, but they are pretty much about the same thing: An ad agency in a big city where people deal with moral issues and what makes people happy. Can't we just have Mad Men?
The only simililarity I see is that both series take place at an ad agency. Also, that a plot on Trust Me was stolen by Mad Men... Guess original ideas are hard to come by... while I enjoyed every last episode of Trust Me, I could only sit through about 3 episodes of Mad Men.. I guess it all depends on your taste.
This argument is clearly mundane and pointless. I'd just like to point out that there is a difference between "ripping off" an idea (IE: copying the entire forrmat) and being influenced by one. One show can share similarities with another without sharing the a common tone.
I never saw this show so I don't have an opinion directly relevant to the topic, but I do find it funny that Christina Hendricks' husband Geoffrey Arend is listed in the cast.
