This could have worked if the story was told better, because.......SPOILERS

Amir knew that his dad probably was the one that stole the pig, so instead of going to speak to his estranged dad about it, he decides to go on an adventure with Cage. I felt like everyone knew the dad took the pig.

Cage was a respected Chef, yet the only way for him to get information from anyone was to enter some Restaurant Fight Club.

And once he gets the info it leads right away to who knows where the pig is at.
