Disco?

I was born in '75 and my brother and sister, Irish twins 10 yrs older than me, were a disco dance team that would compete. I remember going to a couple of their competitions in the late 70's--just barely, but 1987? Were their still discos in the late 80's? Living in the Mideast, trends hit us later than the coasts and tend to leave later than the coasts, but even disco wasn't popular in Cleveland then.
