Most Disturbing Episode....

What's the most disturbing episode you've seen of I Survived? The one recently about Jennifer being tortured by the serial killer has been sticking with me. That guy was sadistic. It was one of the only times when I was watching the show my mouth dropped to the floor. Like, **SPOILERS** when she said he put that gun to her mouth and then to her head pretending like he was going to pull the trigger. Omg. That got to me.

The one about Wayne and Mary back a while ago when a train full of chemicals that made everyone so sick was one of the worst to me. So sad. The only one I ever cried at. I still won't watch it.

And Christy, the girl who was attacked by the 3 men from a bar and stabbed with a screwdriver.

And Brandi was bad too. Sometimes these episodes just stick with me and give me chills but it makes you realize how cruel people can be.

The one episode I will never forget was the girl who was brutally raped and beaten mercilessly by her co-worker who "needed a ride home." She was beaten until her eyes swelled up and she couldn't see. She felt her entire way from the woods to a house nearby with multiple broken bones, fractures, etc. The way she described the pain was excruciating to even imagine. She went into all details. She was left for dead... He spoke Spanish. I forget her name... The part that stuck with me was that he sexually assaulted her with a tree branch that was in the woods they were in. Brutally. A huge branch. How *beep* horrifying is that? And to add to it, I believe that she tried to get people's attention on the ride to the woods. They just drove by. And when she got to someone's house, they wouldn't allow her inside. She had to lay on the porch until the police got there.

Are you talking about the Jose Angel Moreno-Hernandez case? That happened in my home town! I saw her on a show on ID, but not on I Survived. The neighborhood he beat her in is a pretty upper class area, and has a very wooded park. A place where no one would hear you scream :( .
The town she was in does not get violent crime like this very often at all, so the elderly man was probably scared to death to get a woman who looked like this pounding on his door at four in the morning. http://i59.tinypic.com/5l56dw.jpg
The police showed up very quickly though, and she got excellent medical care.
A lot of the bar employees in the city donated their tip money to help pay for medical bills.

Yes, that is the exact episode. The girl really pulled at my heart strings telling her story. Thanks so much for the reply. It has stayed with me even to this day. I'm so happy to hear she got support from her coworkers and the city. The whole story just seemed like something you only read about - hearing her talk about it was intense.

I actually went back to read the newspaper articles from the time of the attack, Jose's arrest and conviction. One of Amy's nurses set up a one day fundraiser that restaurants around the state participated in to help pay for Amy's medical bills. Portions of tip money were donated, and some tipped extra just for Amy. The fundraiser raised $24,000.
At Jose's sentencing the Judge commended Amy's bravery and strength.

Oh god, thank you! I wish I could just hug her and tell her everything is OK now! The whole thing was unbelievable and traumatic. I can't thank you enough for looking that up. Truly amazing.
