creepiest moment?

in that area with the houses and the "perfect" neighbors, you realize somethings not right "dead people in the basement" and when you try to leave they are all standing outside with knives waiting for you

The first time you step foot outside of vault 101 is really, really creepy - it's hard to capture it again, but the first playthrough I was just like "WOAH!" Just seeing the scale of the devastation layed out in front of you is creepy, I almost wanted to go back in the vault! This part of the game, and the first few hours afterwards really reminded me of The Hills Have Eyes.

The boat ride into Point Lookout is really ominous as well, like you know some bad sh''t is waiting when you get off the boat.

The Pre-War flashback in Dunwich. And, yeah. Andale is definitely up there.

Yep, Andale. *shudders*

Dunwich Building, and Vault 106 with all those damn hallucinations. Actually, most of the abandoned old vaults are creepy to some extent.

Well hell then, I guess I need my pants.

Vault 106 was really creepy! I had to resist the urge to flee the place and keep exploring it.

And Andale was creepy too. I knew right away there was something wrong about the people there, way too friendly and picute perfect on the surface. I blew their brains out when they confronted me and left the kids to be raised by the old man.

This may not be the creepiest moment, but in the Metro Tunnels there's one spot with a secret door you can activate and open up stairs to an area below.

When you walk in the room, you see a red 'enemy' tag running around the room, but there isn't anyone to see. Once you hit the door button, a feral ghoul roamer launches up the stairs towards you.

I had no idea where he came from. All I knew is I hit a button, and suddenly out the dark comes this screaming face.

I hit 'pause' and took a few seconds to recompose myself and curse under my breath a couple times.

I'll bring the BEARDS.

Creepiest moment for me was when I first started playing. It was my second PS3 game, and I was not use to playing something where the player was given so much freedom, so I really had no idea what I was doing. I remember wandering around aimlessly, unable to find any people. I walked into a subway, and couldn't figure out how to turn on my light but felt like I needed to push on. As I moved further and further I could hear the ghouls. The first thing I saw alive. They chased after me and I had no idea where to go or what to do. Not sure how I escaped.

The school. Tiny skeletons in cages and small bloody hand prints on the wall.
