I really enjoyed it too. I'm a fan of British humour and I thought Americans forgot how to make funny films, there are so many funny old Americans films but nowadays almost all are just toilet humour. Farts, sex jokes etc... It's good to see a funny American film after a long time. I'm not that surprised actually because there's Steve Martin in this film. The guy is a legend, I don't know a young American actor who's done any comedy on his level. I mean "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is just one of the best comedy films ever, and my favourite (though to be fair, Michael Caine was also amazing in that film and Palpatine too! :)) That said, Owen Wilson and Jack Black were also very good. It shows they can do good stuff when there's clever writing. I laughed out loud when SPOILER!!! the birds attacked the girl in Attu and he said "Hitchcockian" SPOILER!!! I mean that was just an awesome comment. :)
All in all, a great film. I'm from Turkey and the modern comedy here is garbage, I like British comedy and also some French and Italian comedy as well, and I thought Americans' sense of humour was lost after the end of 90s but it seems there are those who know what good comedy is in Hollywood, still.
