The pacing and acting was really bad

Some scenes were just dreadful. A writer/director is normally a bad combo because they can't see the forrest for the trees. They think everything is wonderful because it's their baby.

But some scenes were just delivered so slow. So many of these actors felt like student actors.

I guess they saved a bunch of money hiring non-famous actors.

But then again, maybe pay the premium if it means that you actually have ACTORS and some STAR PRESENCE.

You've never heard of Elizabeth Moss?????

reply

No. I understand she is from mad men (tv show) but that’s a big difference from carrying a movie on the big screen.

reply

Oh! I was thinking more about her being from The Handmaid's Tale. I've never seen Mad Men.

reply

Never heard of that. She’s not good enough to carry a movie and I’m not talking about her appearance I’m talking about her acting.

reply

I think you can only see it on Hulu. She's won a bunch of awards too (not that that really means much😜).

Her character has some similarities to this movie 😅...

I've seen much worse acting but to each his own. 🙂

Better costars, lighting and script may have helped her in other roles. This was a cheap movie and it showed at times.

Opening scene and special effects were great but the rest felt cheap.
