Misled by reviews

I read a number of reviews that, while not fully endorsing this movie, said that it had its share of funny moments. I think I recognized the scenes that were supposed to induce mirth--e.g. the two "dance" scenes--but which instead induced in me a feeling like pity with a soupçon of scorn for the reviewers who led me astray.
