It isn't that I don't find any anime woman attractive (I do). It's just that this particular series doesn't really try to bring attention to it. Makes me feel a little in poor taste for bringing it up among other things the series is praised for.
But meh, I'm sure I'll get over it. And welcome to the club. ;)
I would agree. But honestly, there is a LOT more beauty in her than in other anime characters. I don't know if it's the face, the whole motherly aura, the attitude ... but yeah, she's an unusual babe! Honestly, I can't think of any other anime babe who's had the same effect ... so don't feel bad. It's mysterious as it is delightful!
shareI guess it's because, by anime standards, she's more "realistic" looking. Doesn't have the giant eyes, wacky hair and other hugely exaggerated body features that most anime characters, especially female anime characters, have. She looks and seems like a real person, as close as an animated character can.
I also liked how the series didn't focus on that kind of stuff though. That's one of the things I found refreshing about this anime.
But yeah I thought she was really pretty too.

She definitely is. She's kind of a quiet beauty
The only thing I didn't like was the way they drew her mouth. It was always frowning or pouting and too pink. My attention was always drawn to it but not in a good way. More like a distraction
Why on earth would you hate to bring this up? She is drawn gorgeous. If she were a real woman, she would be drop dead gorgeous. Even THOUGH she's a strong, athletic, fierce warrior woman.
