Why do so many people hate Kevin Costner? With the exception of a couple of movies in the mid 90s, he's been in good movie after good movie. Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, JFK, and Dances with Wolves are all classics. Why all the hate for an underrated actor?

If an actor’s characterizations in movies, which after all are merely fictional tales, meant to entertain, provoke “hatred” of the actor playing the role, one has a problem: emotional imbalance, difficulty distinguishing fantasy from reality, irrational anger, etc. Chill. When he's buried and gone, he really is GONE and FORGOTTEN. NOBODY will ever ever, ever be able to say that about the incredible, sexy, talented, skilled, brilliant man/actor/producer/director/singer/etc. whose name is KEVIN COSTNER. His footprints are at Grauhman's...his star on the walk of fame...his signature movies are talked about over and over. Every actor has ups and downs. Trouble is, when Kevin Costner is down, you want to keep kicking him and punishing him. HE NEVER ASKED you to go see a movie you now want to live to insult! And then you have the nerve, the unmitigated gall to trash him and the movie just because it didn't meet your idiotic expectations. So get a life. It's only envy you insulters have. Get over it. I go to see a great movie and I get it every time. Period.
