First off the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a complete joke and quite frankly a scam. The Hall was founded and is run by people who are not even musicians, they are simply business people who are making money off of the music and fame of others. They themselves have done nothing except claim the name Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and promote it, and that alone has given them clout with some people, (What a joke!). The nomination process into the Hall is also done by a small inner committee who also are not even musicians themselves.
Suzi Quatro is not in the Hall either, and Quatro should certainly be put in there before Joan, because if there was no Suzi Quatro, there likely would never have even been a hard rocking Joan Jett. Suzi does belong to the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends online Hall of Fame. If you do give some form of prestige to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that is your problem, because they themselves have earned no prestige, they have only sold their name to the masses with pure hype and little credibility at all. Remember some of the past controversies, in 2007 Madonna refused to perform at the Hall and instead requested that Iggy and the Stooges play in her place. Quite obviously this was a jab at the Hall as at that time these early pioneers of punk were not yet members of the Hall, but have since been inducted in 2010. The Sex Pistols spoke openly about how they thought the Hall was a complete joke and just another industry establishment full of suits who love making money off the backs of real artists. John Lydon (Aka Johnny Rotten) himself said that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was nothing but a piss stain in music history compared to his band.
