Why is everything Mare's fault?

Jesus H. Christ, almost the entire town shits on her. Everyone that dies or goes missing is her fault. Then it's her fault for being mean and arresting those responsible for it. Her friends, mom, daughter, son when he was alive (and his junkie baby momma) - it was kind of infuriating. She was getting slapped and shit on every other episode.

Christ, her best friend - who ends up being trash - comes to Mare saying Frank might be DJ's dad and she's the bad guy for looking into it? Then the same friend who created that mess had the balls to be mad at Mare when she dared to arrest her murderer son? Mare should have dropped her.
